  • The preparation of this dough is really very simple; just prepare one larger bowl.
  • In a bowl, we mix all the ingredients for the dough.
  • Turn it out onto a lightly floured work surface. Knead the dough well. The dough should be uniform, elastic, and smooth.
  • Roll it out and cut into rectangles with a pastry wheel.
  • Cut each rectangle in the middle. Through the cut hole, pull one end through to form a little bow.
  • Prepare a pan. Fry in a sufficient amount of oil.
  • Remove onto a paper towel and dust with powdered sugar

I’ve tried several recipes, but I always come back to my mother’s one – sour cream fánky.

They are fantastically tender, fluffy, and in my opinion unbeatable.
