Ingredients: 700 g all-purpose flour; 100 g softened margarine; 200 g pork lard; 8 egg yolks; 3 tablespoons sour cream (as needed); 1 teaspoon baking soda; 1 jar apricot jam; 300 g powdered sugar; 8 egg whites; 400 g ground walnuts

Filling preparation: First, beat the egg whites with the powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Then gradually add the ground walnuts and fold in gently. Set the filling aside.

Dough preparation: In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour with the baking soda. Add the egg yolks, margarine, lard and sour cream as needed. Work into a smooth dough that should have a consistency resembling Linzer dough.

Cutting and lining: Roll the dough out to about 0.5 cm thickness. Use a larger glass to cut out circles, place them into the tartlet molds and press them in carefully.

Filling: Put a teaspoon of apricot jam into the bottom of each tartlet and then cover it with a layer of the walnut filling.

Baking: Bake the tartlets in a preheated oven at 190 °C for 25 minutes, until the edges turn golden. After baking, let them cool slightly – they will then release from the molds on their own.
