Preparation procedure
- Mix all ingredients for the dough and work into a uniform dough. Add milk or flour as needed so the dough is not too stiff or too runny
- Let it rest for 30 minutes
- Divide into 3 parts
- Roll out each portion of dough
- Sprinkle the first sheet with breadcrumbs, sugar and cinnamon and add grated apples
- Spread quark with raisins and sugar on the second sheet
- Place poppy seeds with sugar and cherries on the third sheet
- Roll up in the classic way or cut the edges and fold them over alternately
- Line a baking tray with baking paper and brush the strudels with melted butter
- Bake for approx. 30 minutes at 200 degrees
- After removing from the oven, brush with butter mixed with rum
