Preparation procedure

  • Cocoa batter: Whisk the eggs with the sugar until pale and fluffy. Add the milk and oil, then fold in the flour mixed with baking powder and cocoa. Pour the batter into a greased and floured baking tray, or line it with baking paper. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 °C for about 25–30 minutes. Let cool completely.
  • Pudding layer: Cook a thick pudding from the milk, pudding powders and sugar. While still warm, spread it evenly over the cooled base and let it set completely in the refrigerator.
  • Quark cream: Whip the cream until stiff. In another bowl, mix the quark with the powdered and vanilla sugar, then fold in the whipped cream. Spread the cream over the set pudding and level the surface.
  • Finishing: Sprinkle with cocoa or decorate with grated chocolate. Let rest in the refrigerator for at least 3–4 hours, ideally overnight.
