This cake is not only visually appealing, but also absolutely perfect in taste. It goes great with afternoon coffee, a festive gathering with friends, or as a sweet finish to a family lunch.

Preparation procedure

  • Preparing the batter: Beat the eggs with the granulated sugar until thick and frothy (about 7 minutes). Add the oil, milk and then fold in the flour mixed with the baking powder, cocoa and vanilla sugar.
  • Baking: Pour the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in an oven preheated to 180 °C for about 20 minutes. Let cool and remove the sponge from the paper.
  • Chocolate glaze: Melt the chocolate in the cream over a double boiler. Stir until a smooth glaze forms.
  • Preparing the cream: Whip the powdered whipping cream with cold milk (about 8 minutes). Divide the mixture into two parts: into the first, fold in the mascarpone into the second, add the melted chocolate
  • Assembling the dessert: Sprinkle the cooled sponge with a little milk. Layer the mascarpone cream, smooth it, and then spread the chocolate cream on top.
  • Finishing: Pour the chocolate glaze over the surface. Let the dessert rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, then cut into slices.
