It is generally known that people who are infected with the coronavirus suffer several days in a row of very high fever and a severe cough.
These are the most common symptoms associated with a Covid-19 infection. But is that always the case?
More than 60% of cases of infected patients report that they had almost no symptoms and that COVID-19 was detected only through testing. How can you find out that you have recovered from the coronavirus and didn’t even know it?
The virus is similar to those from the past, for example SARS. It is very important what the manifestations and symptoms are, what the treatment is, how long it will take before a drug and vaccine are developed. The disease originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan, where it began to spread as early as November 2019, which is why it has the designation 19. Regarding contagiousness, one infected person can on average infect up to 4 people.
There are also symptoms of the virus that may not be obvious at all and a person may not notice them at all.
In rare cases it can happen that during infection a person does not experience fever and a dry cough.
As you very well know, immunity plays a huge role in this disease – the stronger it is, the better you cope with the illness. If you have a really good immune system, the main symptoms may not appear in you. However, less well-known symptoms may manifest.
It is possible that if any of these symptoms appeared in you, you may have overcome Covid-19 without knowing it.
These are conjunctivitis, abdominal pain, diarrhea, loss of smell and extreme fatigue.
All the symptoms listed can appear during a coronavirus infection. Did they appear in you as well?
