The breathtaking magical scent of lilac is one of the most distinctive symbols of spring. Besides its romantic color and unforgettable aroma, it also has another unique property.

You can use these tiny blossoms to prepare a healing oil. Not only do they smell wonderful, they can help relieve many health problems.

Lilac contains large amounts of ascorbic acid, essential oils and flavonoids that have a positive effect on the body.

Moreover, it is an excellent antipyretic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent.

Healing effects of lilac:

  • anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antibacterial properties
  • relieves joint and muscle pain,
  • alleviates skin problems,
  • is helpful for headaches and migraines,

Lilac floral oil

Flowers should be collected in a forest park or outside cities – away from industrial areas and dusty roads.

You will need:

  • fresh flowers
  • unscented vegetable oil
  • 1-liter container with a lid
  • clean gauze

Procedure:

  • Carefully separate the small flowers from the stems and fill them into the jar.
  • Heat the vegetable oil to 40 degrees and pour it over the flowers in the jar until it reaches the top of the flowers.
  • Cover and let infuse for 2 days.
  • Strain the oil through a thin cloth, squeezing the blossoms well.
  • Heat the oil again and add a fresh batch of flowers, let it infuse again.

Repeat this process until you obtain enough fragrant oil.

Use this oil to rub the forehead and temples for migraines and chills, and to massage sore joints and muscles.

Don’t hesitate to add a few drops of the oil to your cream, shampoo and conditioner – you’ll enrich your cosmetics with the most beautiful aroma and valuable substances.

You can also use this oil to treat rashes, sunburn, minor abrasions, scratches and other skin conditions, such as purulent acne. If you add the oil to cleaning products when cleaning, the whole house will be filled with a fresh scent.
