Recipe for perfect fries that beat even fast-food fries.
With this trick they taste like they’re from an excellent restaurant and so with every bite you can feel that a renowned chef prepared them for you.
This is how easily you can prepare them at home!
We need:
- 8 larger potatoes
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- water
- a cotton cloth or paper kitchen towels
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- sunflower oil
Method:
Peel the potatoes and cut them into fries. Put them in a bowl, cover with water and add 2 tbsp vinegar. Stir and let stand for about 10 minutes.
Then pour off all the water with the vinegar and thoroughly dry the fries with a cotton cloth or paper kitchen towels.
The vinegar will help remove excess moisture from the potatoes. When the fries are dried, place them in a clean dry bowl and sprinkle with a tablespoon of cornstarch.
Mix with your hand so that all the fries are evenly coated in the starch (the starch prevents the fries from absorbing too much oil). Then leave them like this for 5 minutes and only then start frying. Put oil in a pan and heat it sufficiently. Place the first batch of fries in it and fry until golden.
Then place the finished fries on paper towels to remove excess grease.
Done! You can serve them on their own or as a side dish.
