This proven and tried method belongs not only in the bathroom, but on any tiles and grout that you want to have beautifully white again. It works much better than bleach, vinegar or laundry soap.
Homemade cleaner
The grout in our home would always be only a shade or two whiter after a new attempt at cleaning, but it wasn’t enough. It was this great idea that finally did the trick for me.
Bathroom like new
I also cleaned the floor tiles in our hallway this way, where people walk in dirty shoes, and it worked there too.
How to do it?
I soaked a medium-stiff-bristled brush and sprinkled baking powder onto the grout.
I cleaned in a circular motion and left it to sit for a while. Then I rinsed it with water in which I had dissolved a sachet of citric acid.
That’s it! The grout looks like new. If you clean the tiles with it as well, they’ll shine again.
I also use baking powder on limescale in the toilet – I sprinkle it, let it work overnight and then just flush and I’m done. Baking powder is my faithful companion!
