A 23-year-old citizen of the Czech Republic was expecting the birth of her second child and their firstborn could hardly wait for a sister or brother. However, it soon became clear that the young mother would be giving birth to twins.
Childbirth
Both partners were surprised but looked forward to the arrival of the twins. But they had no idea how the whole pregnancy would end.
The woman’s belly seemed to grow by the hour. After the first examination the doctors told her she was expecting twins.
At a later ultrasound it turned out there were even quadruplets in the woman’s womb.
Only at the very end of the pregnancy did it turn out they were actually quintuplets!
Birth of the quintuplets
Experience with such a delivery was minimal, so a successful pregnancy was a priority for all the doctors involved. Fortunately, the entire pregnancy went smoothly and the mother was able to carry the children to term.
The birth was performed by caesarean section; the happiness and joy over the children was incredible.
She gave birth to 5 healthy babies – four sons and one daughter – who were then moved with their mother to the intensive care unit.
Children’s names
The names were chosen by the whole family.
They finally agreed on the following: Michael, Martin, Daniel, Alex and Terezka.
To this day doctors say the odds of such a birth are one in several million. Even with artificial insemination it is rare for five children to be born. They were even more surprised when they learned that all the children were conceived naturally.
Clearly, creating such a large family requires considerable effort, but with the help of good people who assist them financially and materially, everything is easier.
Conclusion
Mom is prepared to take on raising so many children, but what worries her is a lack of milk.
She plans to breastfeed her children as she did her first, but unfortunately she is not sure whether she will have enough milk for all of them.
In any case, we wish the family good health and many joyful moments spent together.
