People can have different hobbies. Many of them are primarily connected with collecting something interesting. It can be basically anything.
The story of a man who decided to collect beer caps confirms that this is true.
And for a full 10 years. Not only did he consume the drink himself, but he also took caps from friends and acquaintances.
Unlike other collectors, he did not care too much about how a cap looked, because he had a slightly different purpose for them than a classic display.
He collected them for many years and amassed a really large amount. After 10 years he told himself that he finally had enough to do what he had long planned.
He started filling them with concrete
What was unique about his behavior was that one day he decided to fill the caps with concrete. Of course he kept this information to himself and decided to fill them all during the weekend when his wife would not be at home.
He had quite an interesting plan for the caps that he wanted to carry out. And he planned to do it secretly.
When his wife left, he went shopping for everything he needed and then prepared a concrete mix with which he subsequently filled the caps.
If he had told anyone, they might have thought him crazy. As it is, though, the result is completely unique.
He sorted the caps first
It wasn’t just about filling them with concrete and then using them in an interesting way.
He wanted to create something that would literally take everyone’s breath away. And he succeeded. Partly because he first sorted the caps so that the result would truly be as it should be.
Thanks to that, a work could be created that not only took his wife’s breath away but amazed everyone who saw it. There is no doubt that it is something completely unique.
In place of the floor in his study
There had long been an old and unattractive carpet laid in the study. It should have been thrown out many years ago, but that only happened now. The man rolled up the carpet and then threw it away. He swept and leveled the floor and began filling the caps. And it was by no means an easy task.
He had to check each cap first to see if it matched in color, then he hand-filled it with a bit of concrete, placed it in the right spot on the floor and then cleaned the area around it.
It wasn’t easy, but when you have a goal, you don’t give up. This man clearly proved that.
He started with only a small pattern
When he started, it was clear that from ordinary beer caps he could create something utterly extraordinary. It was clearly visible in what he created first. He began with only a small pattern that after just a few minutes already looked like the work of an artist.
But he didn’t stop there, because he created it in the middle of the room. And so not only did the pattern grow, but its surroundings did too.
He continued up to the walls. Suddenly there wasn’t a single spot on the floor in the whole room where a beer cap wasn’t present.
A perfect work of art
Not only did he manage to fulfill his dream and make a floor at home out of beer caps. One must not forget that through his effort he managed to create a perfect work of art.
All it took was an idea and then enough patience for his work to be completed. Yes, it took him many long tens of hours and it was a tiring and demanding job. However, the result is absolutely worth it.
You can see that for yourself. It’s not an ordinary floor, of which there are plenty around. It’s a perfect work of art that attracts attention from afar.
Whoever comes closer to it is even more amazed, because it is a creation made from something ordinary that everyone throws away. From beer caps.
