In the Czech Republic there is the first victim among healthcare workers.
Thomayer Hospital has lost a nurse who succumbed to the new type of coronavirus. There are 2,805 infected people in the republic. This information was confirmed by the hospital spokesman Petr Šulek.
A nurse from Thomayer Hospital in Prague succumbed to the disease COVID-19, which has claimed tens of thousands of lives.
In the Czech Republic alone, 16 have died. The nurse died at home.
“We can confirm that a nurse from Thomayer Hospital has died. With regard to the family’s wishes we will not disclose any further information,” said Šulek, spokesman for Thomayer Hospital. The new type of coronavirus thus has another victim.
