Lidl will introduce real improvements to the market this year; in addition to new stores and their modernization they will also reduce the consumption of plastic items. In the future Lidl plans a significant limitation on the sale of eggs from caged hens. This year, however, Lidl is preparing another major change.

Lidl continuously modernizes its stores so that shopping is increasingly convenient for customers.
“We strive to meet the changing needs of clients, as well as to streamline the workplaces of our representatives. We will also continue to expand our business network and will open new branches in Prague’s Čakovice and Řepy. Changes
The organization also needs to focus on increasing its limits and deposits. The planned changes should also concern the goods offered on store shelves, such as eggs from caged farming.
The number of eggs sold from caged farms will be gradually reduced, and by 2025 these eggs should disappear entirely from our stores’ shelves.
Lidl also pledged to reduce the use of single-use plastics on its private-label products. By 2025 plastics should be reduced by approximately 20%.
“This year we will take the first step, when we will discontinue providing disposable plastic items in all stores in the Czech Republic. These include plastic straws, cups, plates and cutlery, as well as plastic cotton swabs for ear cleaning. We prefer to offer items made from recyclable materials, which we are now working on with our suppliers.
The follow-up intention is to reduce the amount of plastic cutlery and straws in the area of ready-to-eat food and drinks for quick consumption.
Wages
Changes this year will also affect compensation. Wages increased after the first and second years of work, and from March this year compensation is extended to the third year as well.
“After three years the salesperson will reach 31,429 Kč for a forty-hour job with undemanding maintenance. In Prague, regarding specific advertised positions, representatives in shops will receive 32,571 Kč after a three-year employment period. three years.
