I pound slices of pork belly (it can also be pork neck), salt, pepper and spread with crushed
garlic. I place smoked meat (slices) on top and add gently stewed sauerkraut on the onion.
I form a roll, fry it in a pan on all sides and set it aside.
Separately, in a saucepan I fry the onion almost to brown, add the fried rolls + the drippings from the pan.
I add a little water and put it in the oven at 170 degrees and bake until tender.
Then I transfer it back to the stove, take the rolls out, pour in water if needed and thicken with water mixed with plain flour.
I simmer everything thoroughly.
I also add the remaining sauerkraut to the sauce and leave the onion in. Enjoy your meal.
