Preparation procedure

  • Preparation of the dough: Mix all the ingredients for the dough (flour, sugar, butter, egg, yolk, honey and baking soda). Divide the dough into two equal parts. Roll each part into a sheet and bake on a baking tray lined with parchment paper at 180 °C for 5-10 minutes, until golden.
  • Preparation of the cream: Beat the butter with the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar. Cook the pudding according to the instructions on the package. Add the yolks to the hot pudding and cook until completely thickened. After cooking, remove the pudding from the heat and let it cool. Once the pudding has cooled, add the beaten butter with sugar to it. Finally, whip the cream and add it to the cream filling.
  • Assembling the cake: Spread all of the prepared cream on the first sheet of dough. Add the whipped cream on top of the filling and smooth it nicely. Cover with the second sheet of dough and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
