Preparation procedure

  • Soak the gelatin in cold water and stir
  • Peel the mandarins, separate the segments and remove the white parts
  • Put the butter into a hot pan, wait, add the mandarin segments, 1.5 teaspoons of sugar and gently stir with a wooden spoon. Let the sugar melt and continue to leave on the pan for 2 minutes.
  • Transfer the caramelized mandarins to a plate and let cool.
  • Put the quark, vanilla sugar, 5 tablespoons of sour cream, half of the remaining sugar into a bowl and thoroughly mix with a hand whisk
  • Put the remaining sour cream and sugar into a separate bowl and whip with a mixer
  • Add the quark mixture
  • Slowly pour the gelatin into the mixture and stir
  • Add the mandarins and stir again
  • Pour the mixture into a mold
  • Cover the mold with cling film
  • Let cool in the refrigerator
  • After two hours, put the mold into hot water for 15 seconds, then invert and unmold.
  • Sprinkle with coconut and decorate with mandarin slices
