  • Preparing the batter In a bowl, combine the quark, sugar, vanilla pudding and whipping cream. Whip everything until a smooth mixture forms. Then add the eggs and whisk them thoroughly into the mixture.
  • Assembling the cake Line a baking pan (rectangular or a 24 cm round) with parchment paper. Place the dessert sponge biscuits with cherry filling on the bottom of the pan and evenly pour the prepared quark mixture over them.
  • Baking Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 30–40 minutes. Bake until the surface is set and lightly golden.
  • Preparing the glaze For the glaze, heat the chocolate and whipping cream in the microwave or in a water bath. Stir with a whisk until a smooth and glossy glaze forms.
  • Finishing Let the finished cake cool slightly, then pour the chocolate glaze over it. Place the cake in the refrigerator and let it set for at least 1 hour.
