  • In a larger bowl put the semi-coarse flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder for gingerbread and a pinch of salt. Thoroughly mix the dry ingredients so they combine evenly.
  • Add the oil, milk and eggs. Use a whisk or a hand mixer to work the batter into a smooth, medium-thick dough without lumps.
  • You can add a handful of raisins, chopped nuts or pieces of chocolate to the batter according to taste.
  • Grease and flour a baking tray approximately 30 × 20 cm in size, or line it with baking paper. Pour the batter onto the tray and spread evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 30–35 minutes.
  • After baking let the gingerbread cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar to taste.
