  • Preparing the batter: In a large bowl, mix the yogurt, oil, sugar and vanilla sugar. Beat until smooth. Add the flour, semolina, poppy seeds and baking powder. Mix well until a smooth batter forms.
  • Baking: Pour the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or greased with butter. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 30 minutes until golden.
  • Drizzling the cake: While still hot, evenly drizzle the cake with the mixture of warm milk and vanilla sugar and let it absorb.
  • Preparing the cream: In a saucepan, mix the milk, all-purpose flour, cornstarch, sugar and vanilla sugar. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil until the mixture thickens. Add the cream and whisk into a smooth cream. Spread the warm cream evenly over the cooled cake.
