4 eggs
150 g softened butter
2 packets cream pudding powder
3/4 cup sugar

Lemon glaze:

juice of 1 lemon
powdered sugar as needed

Preparation procedure

Preparation of the cocoa batter: Beat the egg whites into stiff peaks. In a saucepan heat the butter, water, sugar and cocoa, stirring until a smooth thick mixture forms. Let cool. Whisk the egg yolks into the cooled mixture. Add the flour with the baking powder and mix into a smooth batter. Finally gently fold in the beaten egg whites. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking pan.
Preparation of the quark filling: Beat the egg whites into stiff peaks. Beat the yolks with the sugar, add the pudding powder and butter, mix well. Fold in the quark and finally gently incorporate the beaten egg whites. Spread the quark filling evenly over the chocolate batter.
Final baking: Pour the second half of the cocoa batter over the top. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 50 minutes. Let cool completely.
Preparation of the glaze: In a bowl mix the lemon juice with the powdered sugar until a smooth glaze forms. Pour it over the cooled cake and spread evenly.
