350 g all-purpose flour
250 g butter
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons vinegar
7 tablespoons water
A pinch of salt

4 egg whites (cold from the fridge)
300 g granulated sugar

Preparation procedure

Preparing the dough: In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the dough – flour, butter, egg yolk, vinegar, water, and a pinch of salt. Using a stand mixer or by hand, work into a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Shaping the rolls: Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a thin sheet. Cut the dough into strips about 2 cm wide. Wrap each strip around a metal tube and brush with beaten egg.
