Prepare these crunchy cookie sticks full of rich chocolate flavor at home. Thanks to the simple dough and finishing chocolate glaze, the recipe is suitable for both beginners and experienced bakers. The sticks are ideal with afternoon coffee, as a snack for work, or as a sweet gift for friends.

Preparation procedure

  • Dough preparation: In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar, vanilla, and a pinch of salt until smooth and frothy. Stir in the oil. In another bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder. Gradually whisk the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Finally fold in the chocolate chips and work into a compact dough.
  • Shaping the sticks: Shape the dough into long rolls about 1.5–2 cm in diameter. Cut them into sticks 8–10 cm long and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving enough space between them.
  • Baking: Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 12–15 minutes, until the sticks are golden and crisp.
  • Chocolate glaze: Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and stir it smooth with a little oil so the glaze is shiny. Dip the ends of the cooled sticks into the chocolate and place on a rack or parchment paper.
