Preparation procedure
- Preheat the oven to 190 degrees.
- Peel the apples, remove the core and cut them.
- Then put them into a bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon, brown and regular sugar, flour.
- Set aside for 20 minutes so the apples release their juice.
- In another bowl, mix the ground nuts, sugar and breadcrumbs.
- Roll out one sheet of puff pastry, sprinkle with the nut mixture and then the apple mixture.
- Roll up the filling and press both edges. Do the same with the other pastry.
- Place baking paper on a baking tray and put the strudels on it.
- Brush them with a beaten egg.
- Make lengthwise slits in each strudel.
- Bake the dessert at 190 degrees for 40 - 45 minutes, until the crust is golden-brown.
