Shaggy chicken schnitzels are an ideal choice when you’re craving chicken prepared differently than in the classic way. If you like creatively prepared chicken, try for example the traditional best chicken schnitzels prepared in the oven made with tomatoes and cheese, or the sauce variant in the form of crispy chicken schnitzels with a garlic-cheese sauce. The following recipe is tried and tested and works great as a quick lunch or dinner.

  • Cut the chicken breasts into smaller pieces or strips. Into a large bowl put the sour cream, crushed garlic, eggs and plain flour. Salt and pepper the mixture and season to taste.
  • Mix everything thoroughly to form a thick and slightly sticky mixture. Add the chopped chicken to the mixture so that it is completely coated. Cover the bowl and place it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Use a spoon to scoop the meat together with the coating and place it in the pan. Fry over medium heat on both sides until golden, approximately 3–4 minutes per side. Let the finished cutlets drain briefly on paper towels.
