Preparation procedure

  • Dough preparation In a bowl, mix the yeast, milk, 1 whole egg and 1 egg white (save the yolk for brushing) with the oil. Add the grated potatoes, parsley and cheese and mix well.
  • Kneading the dough Gradually add the flour and stir first with a wooden spoon, then with your hands, until you obtain a smooth, non-sticky dough. Cover with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  • Shaping the bread Transfer the risen dough to a butter-greased baking sheet. With hands greased with oil, create cuts in the dough and place slices of cheese into them.
  • Baking Brush with the beaten yolk, sprinkle with seeds and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 30–35 minutes, until the surface is golden brown.
