This apple cake with cream is a sweet caress that combines a delicate batter, a juicy layer of apples and a fluffy quark cream. The recipe is inspired by the well-known chef Jamie Oliver, but with a slight modification – we replaced mascarpone with creamy quark, which gives the cake an irresistible lightness.

Preparation procedure

  • Preparing the apples Wash, peel and cut the apples into smaller pieces. Heat the butter in a pan, add the apples, raisins and cinnamon. Sauté until the apples have softened slightly, and let the mixture cool.
  • Preparing the dough In a bowl, beat the softened butter with the sugar into a fluffy foam. Gradually add the eggs and lemon juice. Finally fold in the flour mixed with the baking powder and form a smooth batter.
  • Assembling the cake Pour half of the batter into a greased and floured pan. Evenly spread the prepared apple mixture over it. Then add a layer of cream, which you prepare by mixing the quark, sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs and pudding powder. Finally pour the remaining batter on top.
  • Baking Bake the cake in an oven preheated to 180 °C for about 45 minutes, until the surface turns golden. After baking, let the cake cool and before serving sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
