Coarsely grate the apples and fold them into the mixture. Add all-purpose flour, baking powder and cinnamon sugar. Mix again. Finally, stir the chopped walnuts into the batter.
  • Baking: Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Grease the baking tray with butter and dust with flour. Spread the prepared batter evenly on the tray. Bake for about 25 minutes, until the surface turns golden and the batter is cooked through.
  • Finishing: Let the baked cake cool slightly. Then spread jam over it to taste (e.g., plum or apricot). Decorate the surface with ground and chopped walnuts.
