The right pot
You probably adore ceramic pots. An orchid, however, needs a transparent pot for perfect growth, through which light can reach its roots.
Plenty of sunlight
Sunlight strongly influences flowering, so it’s important that you find a spot for the plant where the orchids will have plenty of light. The orchid should be placed where it will get about 10-12 hours of sunshine.
Watering
Orchids don’t like being thirsty, but that doesn’t mean they love excessive moisture. Therefore water the plant when its soil is dry.
Ideally use rainwater for watering; if you don’t have that option, water it with water you have let stand for several hours beforehand.
Moving it from place to place
The most terribly awful thing you can do for your orchid is move it back and forth. Find one permanent spot for it and don’t relocate it anymore.
