We all know how beneficial nuts are and how much nutrients, energy and vitamins they contain. But what do you know about nut shells? We learned these things from our elders, who carefully collected them in the autumn and never forgot about them.
Magical shells
Nut shells are chemically neutral biological materials that do not have a toxic effect on the human body and the environment. But in ancient times people knew about their useful properties, which they used to treat and prevent various diseases.
Coughs and colds
Keep them on hand in the autumn and winter. Flu, flu-like symptoms, coughs and dizziness can come surprisingly quickly. You need the shells from 12 nuts, 500 ml of water, and honey. Wash the shells, pour half a liter of water over them and steep for 12 hours. If you want to drink tea, put the prepared shells on the stove and boil for 5 minutes, then remove from the heat and add honey. Drink like regular tea. Another option is to boil walnut shells (without breaking them) in water for 30 minutes and let sit for 15 minutes. This tea is especially suitable for coughs.
Beautiful skin
If you add chopped nuts to a facial cleansing soap, they will perfectly cleanse your pores, soothe the skin and perfectly remove makeup.
For strong hair
A decoction of the shells is used to wash hair. It can restore hair strength, stop hair loss and gradually return color to gray hair. It is also good to prepare a mask that you leave on the hair for at least 20 minutes.
Diabetes
In the past many people used walnut tea – nut tea (3-4 cups) – for diabetes. The treatment was repeated once every 6 weeks. The fruit tea is not only useful, but also surprisingly tasty!
Teeth whitening
Cleaned shells added to toothpaste perfectly remove plaque. This trick was well known to our ancestors.
