The retail chain Lidl is withdrawing from sale the product “Belbake Ground poppy seed, 200g, best before date: 09.04.2020, batch 16090720407,” the company states on its official page.
Elevated amounts of morphine and codeine were found in the product, which in some cases may cause temporary nausea or digestive problems.
Due to possible adverse effects, customers are advised not to consume the product; they may return the purchased product to any store of the retail chain.
