Among the most well-known and most popular retail chains here is certainly Kaufland. This time Kaufland has prepared an unpleasant surprise for its customers. The retail chain was unable to agree on certain commercial terms with the supplier of many popular products that you probably buy regularly.
Kaufland
This significant intervention in the range of many brands that this store sells concerns the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Poland and Germany.
For several months there has been a problem in the agreement with one of Kaufland’s main suppliers. It is the well-known company Unilever.
Unilever claims that the prices of the goods supplied have risen sharply and therefore there is reason to raise the prices of the products on store shelves. As a result, customers would pay significantly more.
The retail chain Kaufland negotiated with the company for several months so that it would not raise its product prices, to prevent price increases on store shelves.
“We would still offer customers the best quality in a wide selection, but unfortunately no longer at the best price.”
Which goods are involved?
As a result of these disagreements, Kaufland is forced to remove almost 500 products from its shelves that are supplied by Unilever.
These include brands such as Lipton, Knorr, Dove, Magnum, AXE or Domestos.
