The moment it gets colder outside, mice and similar creatures move into our homes. But we know a tip that will keep these uninvited guests far away from your home. It lasts several months and application takes only 5 minutes.
Cotton and vinegar
If you have spotted a mouse in your home, realize that it probably won’t be alone. A whole mouse family will come with it. To protect your home you need to use pieces of cotton soaked in vinegar. mice literally cannot stand vinegar.
How to do it
Thoroughly check whether you have any open access to food at home, places where you have crumbs and various food leftovers. Clean the pantry and places where you store your food thoroughly with one part vinegar and one part water. Vacuum your home thoroughly using a vacuum cleaner and clean all rooms to remove traces of any present food that could attract mice and other rodents.
Procedure
Prepare the cotton balls only just before you actually use them, because the smell of vinegar will be significantly strongest. Put on plastic gloves.
The cotton ball must be completely saturated with vinegar.
Repeat this procedure on as many cotton balls as you need.
I placed about 10 pieces around our house – don’t worry, you won’t be able to smell them.
