Red clover is a traditional medicinal herb that almost everyone knows. It is known under various names (for example štajerka, perennial clover, trojka or trebikuň).
It has been used for various problems for several centuries.
Cough and bronchitis, but also eczema and other skin problems.
Women praise its effects for unpleasant symptoms associated with menopause. Dried flowers were also used to improve the taste and aroma of various herbal tea blends. The simplest and at the same time the most beneficial way to use it for health is in the form of a medicinal tea.
What can clover do for our health?
Cleanses and detoxifies the organism – purifies the liver and kidneys
It helps with diarrhea and vomiting. Medicinal effects for cough, bronchitis and colds. It alleviates the negative effects of the climacteric – hot flashes, insomnia and feelings of nausea. Beneficial effects on the skin. It has an anti-inflammatory effect. It relaxes cramps and suppresses pain.
Antirheumatic – helps with rheumatism and inflammatory diseases. Calming, antistress effect. Lowers blood sugar levels. Has a beneficial effect on normal bone condition. Contributes to maintaining normal heart function, i.e. the entire cardiovascular system (which of course also includes blood pressure)
How to prepare the medicinal tea and infusion?
For medicinal clover tea you need 2 tablespoons of dried or fresh clover (flowers), pour 0.5 l of boiling water over them, cover and let steep for about 20 minutes. Strain and you can use it – feel free to use it for a longer period as well.
You can drink it, it has a very pleasant taste, you can gargle it, you can use it externally on the skin (for eczema, rashes, acne). Rub the affected areas and let it act.
