Drinking too much coffee, smoking, or irregular/inadequate brushing of the teeth causes yellowing of our tooth enamel. There are several whitening toothpastes on the market that in most cases are just unnecessarily overpriced, because the effect does not appear at all. Therefore we want to show you different alternatives with which you can replace these whitening toothpastes.

Clove:

This spice is used as an effective remedy for toothache. It also fights microbes in the mouth. Crush the cloves (or buy ready-made powder), add a little olive oil and apply the mixture to the stains. An excellent tip is to regularly chew a clove to remove bad breath and kill bacteria. Try it instead of ordinary chewing gum.

Baking soda and salt:

Baking soda has a strong antibacterial agent that helps remove dental plaque. That is why it is ideal for cleaning teeth. Just mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with a pinch of salt. Then dip a moistened toothbrush into it. However, it is important not to repeat it more than once a week, because you can seriously damage the tooth enamel.

Orange peel:

In general all peels from citrus fruit contain acid. That means they help remove stains on the enamel. Just rub your teeth with the white part of the peel for 2-3 minutes. You can repeat this process several times a week.

Lemon juice:

Lemon juice not only removes plaque, but also perfectly whitens teeth.

For better effect try using the juice directly from the peel. Dip a toothbrush into lemon juice and gently brush over the teeth. Then rinse thoroughly. Be careful, because lemon juice is a very strong substance. Repeat it only once after a longer interval.
Sesame seeds:

Put a handful of sesame seeds into your mouth and mix well. Create a paste-like consistency in your mouth. Then use this created toothpaste with a dry toothbrush. Repeat twice a week.

Hydrogen peroxide and mouthwash:

Both mouthwash and hydrogen peroxide have an antimicrobial effect. Just mix 1 teaspoon of antiseptic mouthwash with three teaspoons of 3% hydrogen peroxide solution. Gargle for several minutes and finally rinse your mouth with clean water.

Strawberries and tomatoes:

If citrus fruits are too sensitive for your teeth, strawberries and tomatoes are an ideal alternative. Just choose one of them, take the pulp and apply it to the teeth. After 5 minutes rinse your mouth.

Coconut oil:

Put 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil into your mouth and swish it around for 10-15 minutes. Then spit it out and rinse your mouth with warm water.

Aloe vera and glycerin:

Mix 1 tablespoon of Aloe vera, 4 teaspoons of vegetable glycerin, 10 drops of lemon essential oil and 4 tablespoons of baking soda in a cup with water. Mix it so that the consistency resembles toothpaste. Brush your teeth with this created paste once a day. If you see any more pronounced changes, do it only once every 3 to 4 days.
