The new tax on alcoholic and tobacco products in the Czech Republic will cause a historic increase in cigarette prices.
Smokers will have to take up to 20 CZK more out of their wallets for a single pack of cigarettes and up to 10 CZK more for a pack of tobacco.
Besides tobacco, you’ll also pay more for gambling games such as scratch-off tickets and casino games and, of course, for alcohol.
Before the sharp price increase, which took place on March 1, a pack of cigarettes cost on average 90 CZK.
