Dry and cracked heels, rough skin on the hands or unpleasant corns – any of these problems can be troublesome, but they can be solved easily and cheaply. You only need two commonly available natural remedies that will take care of skin renewal and restore its softness and suppleness.
Skin needs hydration and protection
Care for hands and feet is often underestimated, yet both parts of the body are heavily stressed. Hands come into contact daily with various substances, while feet can suffer due to unsuitable footwear or insufficient hydration. Dry, cracked skin on the heels or elbows is not only an aesthetic problem but often brings discomfort as well. A simple mixture of two natural ingredients can help treat and hydrate the skin.
Glycerin – a natural moisturizing ingredient
Glycerin, also known as glycerol, is a substance commonly used in cosmetics. Thanks to its ability to bind water, the skin remains hydrated and elastic for a long time after its application. It is obtained from vegetable oils, and therefore is not only effective but also gentle on the environment.
Alcohol as protection
Pure food-grade ethanol or 70% alcohol is often mistakenly considered irritating, but in a reasonable proportion it has great antimicrobial effects. It helps regulate sebum production and supports the effect of glycerin without drying the skin.
How to prepare and use the mixture
To prepare the mixture, simply mix glycerin and 70% alcohol in the same ratio (1 : 1). Apply this mixture to the affected areas morning and evening for ten days. Apply it to cracked heels, dry hands or corns and, if necessary, to hardened skin on the elbows. After a few days the skin will begin to regenerate and will be softer and more supple.
Try this simple trick which, thanks to two natural ingredients, will help restore the healthy appearance of the skin.
