So that an orchid from the florist blooms beautifully and is healthy. Orchid has many flowers and beautiful firm leaves – it also increases resistance to pests. This mixture, according to Victor Horta on Varanda, strengthens the plant’s roots directly and those are the most important for its health, strength and nutrient absorption.
The content of calcium, potassium, starch, vitamins and nutrients promotes flowering and you don’t have to worry that the supermarket orchid will fail to bloom for you a second time or that it will succumb to pests or diseases. I have an excellent recipe from my neighbor.
We need:
Crushed eggshells
100 g white rice
2 liters of water
Shells from 3 eggs – dried and ground to a powder
Method:
Put the raw rice into the water and blend it.
Strain the mixture.
Add the eggshell powder to the liquid.
Stir
Let it sit for 30 minutes and then use it to water orchids 2x a week. It is excellent also for supermarket flowers so they can gain strength. This mixture is also excellent before and during the flowering period, when the plant needs the most nutrition.
