We don’t have to use salt exclusively in the kitchen to season food, there are also many other uses that few people know about.
Windowsill
If you don’t want ants and spiders coming in through the window, sprinkle salt on the windowsill and your problem is solved.
Dishes
Salt is an excellent agent for polishing frequently used dishes.
Cleaning windows
Few people know this, but if you wash windows with salt water you’ll be surprised how clean they stay; even ingrained dirt will wash away.
Drain cleaning
If we have a clogged drain or just want to clean it, pour salt into the drain and pour hot water over it. It removes grease and unpleasant odors.
Skin rejuvenation
Mix salt with Mádlová or olive oil and use it as a scrub. It smooths wrinkles and removes dead skin from the complexion.
Clothing
If you want your curtains and clothes to be brightly clean and don’t want to wash them at a high temperature, soak them overnight in salt water and then wash them in the usual way.
Toothache
If you gargle with warm salt water, your toothache will go away and it prevents gum inflammation.
