One of the most popular side dishes to meat dishes in our country is mashed potatoes. Its preparation is easy if you know the right method.

Food Network expert Tyler Florence recommends a different method of preparing mashed potatoes to all cooks. According to him the classic preparation destroys the flavor of this otherwise completely perfect side dish.
„Potatoes have a delicate flavor profile. If you boil them in water and then drain it, you will lose all of the potatoes’ flavor“, says the chef.
How to do it?
Tyler therefore recommends simmering the potatoes directly in milk, cream and butter so they absorb all that wonderful flavor.
Nejlepší je právě nakrájet syrové brambory na kostky a povařit je doměkka s mlékem a máslem. Po změknutí je potřebné scedit nadbytečnou tekutinu a samotné brambory nasáknuté mlékem rozmačkat na chutnou a velmi hladkou směs.
For seasoning, just salt and black pepper work best.
As a variation, you can add a few cloves of garlic to the potatoes, to taste.
