I wanted to clean my kitchen perfectly and tried using just about everything found on shop shelves. But this time-tested recipe finally did the trick. A great tip that will save you money, time and energy.
Homemade cleaner
You will probably also be looking for a way to easily and effectively clean the stove or oven after cooking and baking. I’m not one of those very active homemakers and any helper that saves me work is welcome.
Today I would like to show you a trick to clean the oven or stove!
Cleaning ovens
As usual, wipe these areas with a cloth or sponge and then sprinkle baking soda. Now place a wet towel on top and leave it to work overnight. In the morning simply wipe everything off.
Oven
If you’ve burned some food in the oven, it’s a good idea to put a cup containing a mixture of water and a few teaspoons of baking soda, vinegar, or a few drops of lemon juice into it and let it heat so the burnt-on bits come loose.
Mixture for perfect cleanliness
Take 2-3 packets of baking powder and mix it with water to obtain a paste consistency – I always choose a thinner version of the mixture that spreads more easily.
Now just spread it inside the oven and let it work overnight – at least 3 hours.
Then rinse everything off with a damp sponge or cloth – the paste will break down dirt and grease. It also works for cleaning baking trays or the stove.
