  • When you feel the pain easing, you can wash off the paste. If you don’t have curry powder on hand, cayenne is also excellent.

For sore knees I use a compress made from currant leaves.

  • I boil about 30 leaves of blackcurrant in 500 ml of water and let it steep for 15 minutes covered with a lid.
  • Soak a cloth in the decoction, place the leaves on it, fold, and apply the still hot compress to the knee.
  • Cover with cling film and wrap with a warm towel.
  • Leave the compress to act overnight and repeat as needed.

Healing rosemary ointment

We need:

  • approx. 250 g of pure ointment, petroleum jelly or coconut oil
  • chopped rosemary (about 2 handfuls),
  • a clean container for storage

Procedure:

  • Heat the fat (melt petroleum jelly rather in a water bath, lard or oil can be heated directly in a pot), but do not boil.
  • Into the melted ointment base pour in the finely chopped rosemary tops.
  • Let it cool and rest until about the next day.
  • Then heat it again and strain through a clean cloth so that there are no pieces of herbs in the ointment.
  • Immediately fill into a jar where the ointment will solidify.
  • Store preferably in the refrigerator. Use as needed, but it’s good to always have it on hand, you’ll see!

  • Pick these blossomed orange flower heads
  • Pour ordinary cooking oil over them, ratio 1 part flowers to 3 parts oil
