The current situation in the Czech Republic regarding the coronavirus could be described as very unclear and chaotic. The Deputy Minister of Health clarified on Monday at a press conference that cinemas or pools should open on May 25 and summer events will finally be allowed to take place, but only up to 200 people.
Czechs are also very interested in when they will finally be allowed to try on clothes in shops.
„As for pools and cinemas, they are in the next stage of easing from May 25. We are assuming that for now and everything depends on the epidemiological situation,“ the Minister of Health said at a press conference after the government meeting.
„We should give the final stance on Thursday. It still applies that mass events are the most risky. As for smaller events for dozens of people, I can imagine that,“ the minister said, adding that summer events will be possible up to 200 people. The gradual easing begins on April 27, when establishments up to 2500 m² open, provided they are not in shopping centers over 5000 m², as well as driving schools, fitness centers, religious services for up to 15 people, zoos and botanical gardens or libraries.
From May 11, all establishments in shopping centers should open, restaurants, pubs, buffets, wine bars selling through a take-away window within outdoor terraces, hairdressers, museums, galleries or castles and people will also be able to try on clothes in shops.
In the final wave from May 25 cinemas, pools or theatres will open.
„Just as football matches without spectators will be eased, where we are talking about 150 to 200 people, it will certainly be in these ranges, not more,“ he added about summer events. Already from April 28 drivers should be on guard, who until now were used to not having to pay for parking in places that are otherwise paid. The government canceled this measure on Monday.
„The government will repeal the resolution with effect from April 28 from 00:00 hours,“ the decision states.
