We all use these items almost daily. But paradoxically, completely incorrectly. Some of these things have small, sometimes hidden functions that we don’t notice. The inventor’s intention was clear – to make our lives easier. These are 8 items that we still use incorrectly today.
How to use these things correctly?
Shopping cart
Have you ever wondered what the metal arches on a shopping cart are for? You are meant to hang bags on them. This prevents them from tipping over and makes them easier to transport.
Pasta spoon
The hole in a spaghetti spoon is used to measure one serving. You will finally know the correct amount to cook.
Toilet paper
The side from which the toilet paper should hang is really a debated topic. The inventor’s original intent was that the paper should hang from the outside. It’s all written in the patent from 1891.
Tic Tac
On the top part of the Tic Tac packaging there is a small notch. Thanks to it you can take out just one candy from the box.
Aluminum foil
To tear off the foil you don’t need to take it out of the box. There are special teeth on the box that allow you to comfortably and easily tear off the foil.
Toffifee
The holes and bulges between the candies are there so you can get the candies out of the packaging more easily — they literally pop out.
Fuel gauge indicator
On the fuel gauge there is a small arrow that indicates on which side the fuel filler is located.
Hole in the pot handle
It serves to hold a cooking spoon.
