The State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic (ŠVPS ČR) warned via its official website about a non-compliant product that may also be present on the Slovak market.
During a check of the health safety of products, discrepancies appeared in the case of one of the items. It concerns, Hamánek – tuna with vegetables and potatoes, 190 grams, manufacturer Slovácka Fruta, a.s., at Drahách 814, 686 04 Kunovice, DMT 13.1.2021.”
The analyzed sample showed an increased mercury content, with its value being three times higher than the stated limit. Most of the 4,500 packages were sent from the Czech Republic abroad, which means it may also be present on the Slovak market. The dangerous baby food is currently being withdrawn from the market.
