  • 5 tablespoons of salt, preferably sea or Himalayan (approx. 0.75 dcl)
  • 10 tablespoons of olive oil (approx. 1.5 dcl)
  • a sealable glass bottle or another container such as a canning jar

If you need less or more of the remedy, adjust the individual components in the stated ratio of 1 part salt to 2 parts olive oil.

Preparation

Mix the oil with the salt and pour the mixture into a glass container. Close it and let it sit for 2 days.

After 2 days the home remedy is ready to use.

Usage

In the morning right after waking, apply the mixture to the affected area where the pain appears. Gently massage it into your skin.

Start by massaging for 2 to 3 minutes and gradually increase the time. Medical experts recommend massaging for about 20 minutes, which should be sufficient.

Finally, wash the skin with a damp towel.

If you find that your skin is slightly irritated after finishing, apply some natural cream free of harmful chemicals. Alternatively, use baby powder.
