The effects of sleep deprivation usually don’t take long to appear. These include above all fatigue, mental stress, disorientation, memory disorders, and an overall loss of energy that we need for everyday life.

There are many causes of insomnia: from stress and various mental problems and experiences to insufficient physical activity and poor lifestyle in general.

To combat insomnia, it is recommended to follow a proper sleep regimen. However, many people also seek help from medications, which have a relatively large number of negative side effects, especially with long-term use.

Why not use what nature offers us?

It’s nothing complicated. An effective remedy for insomnia can be made from bananas and cinnamon.

Why bananas?

Bananas are one of the healthiest fruits in the world. They contain many different health benefits. They have a high content of vitamin B6, but also contain vitamins C, B1, B2, E and folic acid. In addition to vitamins, they also contain minerals, especially magnesium, potassium and iron. In terms of potassium, they are the third-best source of this mineral among fruits. And it is potassium and magnesium that help relax tense muscles and improve sleep.
But bananas can’t just help us with sleep problems, they benefit the body as a whole. How? Another substance that can be found in large amounts in bananas is fiber, which helps, for example, lower fat and cholesterol levels and supports proper bowel function. Serotonin also has a positive effect on the human body, specifically on our nervous system. Due to their unique composition, the use of bananas is usually recommended for people suffering from heart diseases or circulatory disorders. Experimental studies show that a diet rich in potassium and low in sodium has a preventive effect on high blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmias, stroke and cancer. B vitamins together with magnesium slow down atherosclerosis and protect against heart attack. Another positive aspect of bananas is that they help neutralize and remove excess uric acid from the blood.

Why cinnamon?

You may know cinnamon as part of desserts, but it is an excellent antioxidant that can also help your body relax. It contains many different minerals and vitamins, as well as substances that help stabilize blood sugar levels. It has been shown that regular consumption of cinnamon helps break down fats, improves the body’s metabolism and speeds up metabolism. The silicones contained in cinnamon also have many medicinal properties, particularly for our circulatory and digestive systems.

How to make it?

To make this drink, you need one banana, some cinnamon and two cups of water. Take the banana and cut off the ends. Then place the banana in a pan, pour in two cups of water and bring to a boil with the peel on. Then cook for ten minutes, and then pour the mixture into a prepared cup, add the cinnamon. Banana cinnamon tea is recommended to be drunk about an hour before bed. Try it and make sure you never have trouble falling asleep.
