Blood density depends on the quality of the work of all human organs. Causes may vary, but one thing is certain: thick blood is not capable of fully performing its primary function – delivery.

Blood cells add to its density, while plasma has a more liquid consistency. If the number of blood cells exceeds the density of plasma, the viscosity and density of the blood will increase.

Due to the increased viscosity, not all blood cells are able to fully perform their function. This means that organs do not receive nourishing substances and the waste products do not completely leave the body. To pump out thick blood, the heart needs to work beyond its strength, not to mention thrombosis, impaired blood supply to organs including the brain, varicose veins or atherosclerosis.

How to thin thick blood?

To prevent stagnation in the vessels and improve passage, blood thinning is necessary. After completing a blood count and determining the severity of the hyperviscosity syndrome, the doctor will prescribe the necessary measures to normalize the condition.

If abnormal blood density has been detected, regardless of the reason you should immediately adjust your diet. Give up fried and fatty foods, canned foods, smoked meats, sweets and pickled vegetables. Also exclude buckwheat, potatoes, bananas, alcoholic and carbonated beverages. Make sure you consume more low-fat dairy products and drink enough fluids!

Products

There are many products that contribute to thinning the blood. These include oranges, pomegranate, figs, raspberries, garlic, beetroot, strawberries, ginger, lemons, sunflower seeds and cocoa.

Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) – one of the most popular, effective and safe drugs for thinning the blood. It improves vessel patency and is a prevention against heart disease. Consult your doctor about the correct dosage.

In folk medicine, meadowsweet is used as a complete substitute for aspirin. Prepare a tincture: pour 250ml of boiling water over 1 tbsp of meadowsweet and let it stand for 30 minutes. Strain and drink as tea 2-3 times a day.
