Do you have warts on your body and can’t get rid of them? It’s time to try this recipe, which—thanks to the perfect combination of ingredients—very effectively removes these growths naturally.

Skin warts

There are really many types of skin warts. In Latin they are called verruca. They are flat or protrude above the level of the skin surface. Warts most commonly occur on the hands and
feet. Essentially it is a viral disease because it is caused by one (less
harmful) of the many HPV (human papilloma virus) types. Susceptibility to warts
is therefore closely related to the state of an individual’s immune system.

Home remedy

If a new wart surprises you, or if you can’t get rid of the existing ones,
I recommend a simple, cheap and proven method using natural products. A poultice made from lemon peel can be used on both hands and feet—wherever the warts are.
If you already have a wart on your body, do not delay its removal! The larger the wart, the longer and more difficult it is to remove.

What we will need

1. One yellow lemon, which we wash thoroughly, preferably organic
2. cut in half and squeeze out the juice
3. I recommend using the juice internally, i.e. drinking it with water or tea for its alkalizing and
refreshing effect
4. Cut the peel of 2 1/2 lemons into small squares, slightly larger than the
wart you need to remove
5. Put the cut lemon squares into a cup and pour vinegar over them (apple cider
vinegar is also fine) so that the squares float in the vinegar
6. Cover the cup, e.g. with a saucer, and let it stand for 24 hours.
7. I recommend applying the lemon square as a poultice at night, because of hand washing during the day and the
strain on the feet and the need to walk
8. It is best to prepare fresh lemon peel every day, i.e. soaked in vinegar for at least 24 hours.

If you use peel soaked for 2 days – 48 hours, that is still OK, but not longer.
Fresh peel is always most suitable.

Warts on the hands – how to proceed:

Prepare as many lemon peel squares as you need according to the number of warts (1 or more), and soak them in vinegar for at least 24 hours.
The next day, preferably in the evening before sleeping, take a lemon square out of the vinegar.
Place it with the inner — fleshy side on the wart, secure it with a plaster, and if needed
reinforce with a bandage or fabric plaster so that the peel touches the wart for the whole night and has no chance to move onto healthy skin.
Leave the peel stuck to the wart until morning. If the area under the peel stings or burns a lot during the night, remove the peel. This can sometimes happen. However, if the stinging continues to increase, the peel should be removed.
In the morning remove the peel; the skin around and the wart will be softened due to the moisture from the peel during the night. Leave the wart exposed to the air during the day.
After the first application the wart may turn black. That is, it may be ‘black immediately’ in the morning after removing the peel, or it may darken during the day. If this happens (see picture
below) do NOT apply another peel the following evening! Leave the wart open to the air for the next few days and wait for it to fall off by itself. Important: Do not pull it off!
If the wart did not turn black after the first application, apply a new peel on the following — second evening. That is, apply again, tape it on, leave it all night, remove it in the morning and
observe whether the wart turns black. If the wart turns black, do not apply more peel.
From the above it follows that we apply the peel every evening until the wart turns black. At the point when the wart has a black color and resembles a newly formed scab, do not apply the peel anymore.
– The number of nights and applications is individual; it depends on the size of the wart, its location, etc. For some people one night is enough, for others it may be necessary to apply
3 or more times. But one rule applies to all: if the wart turns black, do not apply the peel any more!

Important, why NOT to pull off a BLACK wart!

As you can see in the picture below, the wart is not just what protrudes above the skin surface.
A wart has a deep root in the skin, is fed by the vascular system and is interlaced with nerves.
Therefore it is important not to pull the wart off, but to wait for it to fall off by itself. That means that when
the wart remains black on the surface, it can take a week or more for the root to be destroyed and new skin to form underneath. If you interrupt this process and pick the wart off prematurely, the root is likely not destroyed and the wart will grow back after some time.
So be patient! Wait until the wart falls off on its own. The wound after the wart will be
deeper, but will heal nicely with new skin. Over time the area will even out nicely and
no scar will remain. Prematurely ripping it off could leave a scar. It’s like a scab; you should also wait for it to heal and fall off by itself, so do not speed up this
healing process by pulling the wart off prematurely!

Warts on the foot – how to proceed:

The same as when removing a wart from the hand: prepare and apply the peel.
Warts on the foot — on the sole they are usually flat and grow in much deeper.
Because they are not above the skin level, they take a bit longer to remove, since the skin on the sole is coarser than on the hand. It depends on the size, but it can even take a month.
Also, the wart may not turn black at all. You can tell the peel is working when the wart begins to gradually shrink.
I recommend that when removing a wart from the sole you do at least a once-weekly water bath
in baking soda and gently file the wart with a pumice stone as much as possible, not too forcefully so it doesn’t hurt. Only remove as much as the skin softens. You can also sprinkle a little baking soda on the wart during the day. Soda creates an alkaline environment which warts do not like. If the wart happens to hurt while walking, you can cover it with a plaster during the day.
Note: I know that removal on the foot takes a bit longer,
but try to persevere. If applying the peel every evening is difficult for you, choose a slower pace, e.g. every 2 or 3 days. Apply regularly and the result will come!

Warts in other areas of the body

Whether it’s the face or the genital area, you should bear in mind that the skin in these places is very sensitive and delicate. Therefore prepare a peel only the size of the wart—cut out the necessary circle from the peel so that it covers only the wart and affects as little surrounding healthy skin as possible. This will prevent unnecessary irritation of healthy skin.
If you have multiple warts in sensitive areas, first try the peel on one wart and then decide whether to continue on the others. Again, if the area stings or burns too much, the peel should be removed. If the wart turns black, do not apply any more peel and wait for the wart to fall off by itself!

Advantages of the lemon remedy

  • Purely natural remedy; lemon and vinegar are found in every household
  • Effective on all sizes of warts
  • No chemicals and no high price of over-the-counter products in the pharmacy
  • No need to travel to the doctor
  • No embarrassment about showing your private areas to the doctor
  • No freezing with nitrogen or cutting out

Addendum

Over time, and mainly due to your great interest, I decided to add photos to the article of my daughter’s wart (5 years old). You ask me what and how, and I always try to advise from personal experience. Unfortunately, warts visit us sometimes too, so I took a few more photos this time so you have a better idea how long it takes and what the course looks like.
My daughter had a wart on her finger; we applied the peel for just one night.
So after one night the wart remained black, and we did not apply the peel again. In the photo you can see that it remained even darker after a few days. Then we just waited for it to fall off. From previous experience it took quite a long time; we patiently waited almost 2.5 weeks for the first signs. And we were rewarded! The whole wart fell off down to the root, leaving a hole. Only after about a month did the wound even out nicely and there was no trace of the wart!

Patience really pays off! Once a wart is black do not apply anything to it! Just persevere; the area must heal deeply down to the root of the wart. Then it will fall off nicely on its own.
