All smokers should put their vice aside for some time.
Advice from a woman who has the coronavirus
Tara Jane Langston (39), who has a severe course of the new type of coronavirus and is in the intensive care unit, warns everyone that they will need their lungs.
The whole world is currently frightened by the new type of coronavirus, which has claimed thousands of lives. Although the elderly and sick are at greatest risk, Covid-19 does not leave healthy and younger age groups untouched.
An example is Tara Jane Langston, who because of the illness ended up in the intensive care unit of Hillingdon Hospital in west London, AP writes. Tara does not belong to a risk group, and yet she has a severe course of the disease.
„Tara is a healthy non-smoker and was simply unlucky,“ her husband Richard said. The infected woman has a strong cough and suffers from pain. She recorded a video for colleagues in which she warns everyone not to underestimate the disease and its spread.
„Anyone, if any of you think you can gamble with your health, look at me. I’m in the intensive care unit. I can’t breathe without this here. I have a cannula inserted into a vein… another cannula and a catheter. Now I feel ten times better than I did before. I don’t even really know what day it is. I’ve lost track of time,“ Tara described.
She also warned smokers that they should stop smoking for some time, because they will need their lungs.
„If anyone still smokes, put down your cigarettes, because I’m telling you that you need your lungs. And please, nobody take risks. I mean it. Because if it really gets bad, you’ll end up here. Is that clear? Thank you for all your loving messages. I really appreciate it. And my body is fighting. I haven’t seen Richard, I haven’t seen the girls since Friday, but I will fight. So once again, don’t take risks,“ the ill Tara warned everyone.
Put down cigarettes, you can replace them. It is widely known that cigarettes are in no way beneficial to our health. As Tara has already warned, we will need our lungs. To keep the lungs in the best possible condition, we should do everything we can. Putting cigarettes away for some time is by no means a bad idea. Experts recommend that people use cigarette substitutes that do not strain the respiratory system as much.
