He answered that the hardest thing is seeing animals look at their owners during euthanasia
The fact is that 90% of owners do not want to be in the same room
They go out so they don’t see a family member die. They don’t know, however, that the animal really needs them.
Hillcrest Veterinary Clinic in South Africa urged people on Facebook to stay with their pets until the very end.
“Being there before them is almost essential. Remember that you were the center of their life. You may have only been a part of theirs, but you were their universe.”
No matter how hard it is, don’t leave them there alone. Don’t let them die in a room with a stranger in a place they don’t like.
A veterinarian finds this very hard to watch
It’s hard to watch how animals in their last minutes of life cannot look at their owners. They don’t understand why you abandoned them. After all, they only needed your comforting. Veterinarians do everything they can so the animals are not afraid. But the fact is, they are completely strangers to them.
“Don’t be cowards who think it’s too painful for them. Think of your pet that was part of your life and family.”
Endure this pain because of them and be with them until the end.
